Stephen Pressfield did it again! This is an awesome book! He played slightly loose with history (as he admitted in the forewords), but man, what prose!!! You felt as though you were right there beside Alexander the Great with his conquest. It was written as a self-narration by Alexander.

This is the best book since Gates of Fire.

I'll put it on the "To Read" list. "Gates of Fire" was one of the best books I have ever read. "Tides of War" was disappointing, slow, boring and lacked a hero you could root for.
