Anyone have experience with this IWB holster?? I was searching for a holster for the wife at the LGS and a lady working there swears by them. It seemed well built and I like the design.

Anyone here have practical knowledge of this holster??

I have a ventcore for my G20 and a revolution for my EDC. The ventcore is the most comfortable of the two. But they are both more comfortable than any other brand I have ever owned. Little more expensive, but buy once, cry once.

You tell us that you were at the LGS looking at holsters ... was your wife with you? Did she try it for size? Does she like it? Does it fit her needs?

I have no experience with Ventcore, but have read many positive reviews. I would try one if I was in the market. My wife searches for her own holsters; she has her own criteria and knows what she needs and how it needs to work.

Unfortunately she wasn’t. The LGS didnt sell anything in the StealthGear line. But the lady at the LGS was adamant that all of my ideas for the wife were wrong and that the Ventcore was the answer. She lost a sale for the store but earned a customer.

After telling the wife about it and reading the comments here I’m going to order her one.

I've had mine for a couple years now and love it, it is by far an away the most comfortable holster I've used.

I have multiple (ventcore IWB) that I have used extensively. Buy one. I'd sign up for their email list though, they seem to do ~20% off fairly often, which is nice particularly considering the current regular price point. BUT I think they are worth full retail if you will carry with it a lot.

Very:
-Comfortable
-Stable
-Secure (great retention, easily adjusts to carry where it passes upside and shake test which is hard for a hybrid since they use belt tension when worn)
-Durable
-Adjustable

I only have the full size, no minis (mini wasn't a thing when I started getting these). For a G19 or larger gun I'd probably want the full size for the widely spaced clips to get all that great stability, but for a sub compact or single stack I imagine a Mini would be the way to go. I also imagine a mini would do for a larger gun just fine.

I have the IWB ventcore magazine carrier too and never use it. It's just too bulky for me to put a double stack mag in that carrier in addition to a double stack pistol. I either pocket spare magazines or use a slimmer comp-tac leather IWB mag holder, or an OWB

Price and possibly wait time are the only cons I have come up with

Are there any issues with the Ventcore backing collapsing or folding when the pistol is drawn or re-holstered?

No.

I have carried with several of the big-name (online) IWB holsters...mtac, ctac, supertuck, maxtuck, ventcore, versa max II, don hume, Theis, and others.

The ones I most recommend as a general rule based on that experience, in order, would be: Stealth Gear Ventcore, Theis, and MTAC (for all kydex)

That said, the hybrid style IWB (my preference) isn't as easy and foolproof to reholster as an all kydex. They ALL collapse inwards to an extent under belt tension, that's just the way they look. So (and I had a thread about this not long ago, most people seemed to do the same) I look the gun into the holster when holstering into my IWB holsters. IF you are insistent on re-holstering without looking, you may not want a hybrid IWB holster of any make. Or all leather. IME no matter how reinforced the make the opening it's just not the same when you holster up as an all kydex is. But that's fine with me, all things considered

Don't take that to mean you can't re-holster one handed without looking, you certainly can. Just a little more technique dependent than an all kydex.
