You know those so called steps we had to climb at the Statesville match every Sept? They have been replaced with new wooden steps! I tried em out yestertday at their IPSC match! Worked just fine!

No but there is a platform so you can rest half way up!
Try shooting the plates after a step climb there! I need a few minutes for the ole ticker to calm down! Getting old isn't for sissy's!

You sure got that right. I can hack it, besides that climb is one of the hi-lights of the trip. I get so much blood pumpin that all the extra oxygen just floats me to the top.;f ;f ;f

NOT, old Fireglock has enough to carry up those steps as it is. Sometimes he even has to carry that evil twin of his so I don't want to overwork my old buddy. ;f ;f ;f

Actually several of the old steps were missing. That was one of the problems! ;Q

Me to! They were an adventure and a challenge. I always compared climbing them to scaling Mt. Everest! Only an elite few could make it all the way up them and get back down alive! ;f

Seriously though, they were a lawsuit waiting to happen. I'm glad the club was able to get them replaced before some unscrupulous individual decided to take advantage of the situation!

And I thought I was the only one that had a problem with the steps. And I know DTOM is a lot younger than me. ;)

I am happy they have improved the stairs. It's hard to climb good steps with a gun bag, a chair, and whatever else you have in you hands, let alone steps that were uneven and missing...

We always like the Statesville match. It's a sign that summer is almost over with.

This is good, Jerry thought he was going to have to carry me up this year. Any thoughts of more tents to block the sun? How about a photo of the steps?

I happen to have seen you at a MCRC IDPA match awhile back. You had you a new, "shootin buddie" and didn't look any worse for the wear.

Sure it was the steps that's wearing you out? ;a ;a ;f
