I was just wondering how long it actually took for you to get your permit in the mail in some of the "Shall Issue" states.
Minnesota takes "UP TO" 30 days, Utah takes "UP TO" 60 days, and Florida is "UP TO" 90 days. lets see who got theirs back the fastest.

Me, I'm sitting on week 2 without my Utah permit yet, and still haven't applied for Florida yet, and may not really need it.<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

90 days in Colorado, which I believe is the max allowed by law here.

It is supposed to be about two weeks in Nebraska but mine took a little over a month. It was the initial rush after we finally passed ccw that backed things up.

I waited 89 days of the 90 allowed by Tennessee law. My understanding that the wait times have fluctuated over the years from as little as a couple weeks to as much as 5 months. Too bad there is no penalty for the DoS in the law that requires them to issue in 90 days.

Two weeks after I finished the submission, and a four years wait until they amended the law enough to make it a reasonable carry law.

About one month for me in NV, but they have "up to 120 days" to issue your permit.

Haha. Yeah, to be honest, I didn't expect to get it the same day. In PA they have something like 45 days to either deny or grant your application. Seems most people in PA wait a couple weeks or so. I live in luzerne county and when you go to the sheriff's office to hand in your application, they process it on the spot. There was no line when I went, so i just waited until the background check was done, then they called me into a room to get my picture taken, then she handed me the license!

Thread closed! No one's gonna beat five minutes.

Virginia, usually six to 14 days. The duration varies by locality and volume.
The law states, issue or deny within 45 days. If the 45 days is exceeded, a temporary CHP shall be issued.
