For some strange reason a window directed to C:\\WINDOWS opens up every time I start my computer, it just started happening about a week ago. There is nothing in the Startup folder or anywhere else I could find so I don't know what's going on. My computers are always spyware free.

    Any ideas?

    Well, something's going on...

Check in Startup and msconfig; is there an item you don't need set tu run at boot time? Uncheck it and click Apply.

Then restart. If it goes away for the first boot the n comes back, you'll know that the code responsible for its installation is still lurking on the hard drive.

If you have Ad-Aware and Spybot installed, make sure their definitions are up-to-date and scan with them.

you can take it out of the registry, but you shouldn't do it that way ;)

    start - run - msconfig
see what's under startup there (different from the startup folder)

Something's wierd here. I looked in MSCONFIG last week when it first started happening and it wasn't there. I checked again today just for the hell of it cause you guys told me too and it was in there!

What could possibly put it there?

I run ADAware and Spybot SAD atleast once a week and never find any spyware.
