Bought a Taurus 94 about 3 years ago. It's a 4 inch stainless 9 shot double action. With the .22 shortage I haven't shot it much for a year. Now that I've been finding ammo, I've been shooting it quite a bit. What fun it is. I saw a post the other day," .22 is Boring". Not to me. I shoot 9mm and 45 acp mostly for defensive practice. I'd nearly forgot how much fun it is to plink. I can shoot it very accurately and my 5 year old grandson, loves to watch me shoot balloons at 25 yds. In the last month, we've been through 5 bags of balloons. It's a joy to see him clap his hands when I pop them. I've got two .22 rifles, waiting for him to grow a bit more. Start them young. I did that with both of my sons. I taught them about revolvers and semi-autos. Especially how to check if they're loaded and how to safely unload them. Figured if they were with friends and one of them swiped his dad's handgun, I wanted them to be the one to take it and unload it before something bad happened. If only more people did that. Happy shooting. First shot.

It's been a good revolver for me. I use the 2" blued version frequently.

My favorite plinking target is a beat up golf ball... Move it toward a "hole"

My Stainless 94 is over 20 years old. Accurate and fun to shoot. In all those years I had to replace the trigger spring once. Used the old BIC pen spring replacement trick.

I've had this dude torn apart twice and cannot get that trigger below 15 pounds. I stoned all the mating surfaces and the internals are all highly polished and blued.
What is the trick and which spring did you replace? I really want to love this gun but I'm having a hard time not wanting to sell it. I have DeSantis IWB holster that I carry an M85 .38 in, it fits and carries well in that. I bought it really for my son who runs a trap line. I figured he could lighten his load vs his 1022 on the shoulder.

My 94 trigger is about 14 lbs DA. I've gotten used to it. I've read about people changing springs and polishing parts and all that stuff. To me DA is what it is, but when I cock the hammer, I breathe lightly, or it'll go off. If your son has a critter in a trap to dispatch, just cock the hammer for a head shot. That's what I did when I was a kid trapping. First shot.
