having a tough time type right now. fingers are stiff its around 40 degrees and a bit breezy. didnt catch anything but did get one on. Didnt get him hooked good enough I guess. Felt little anyway. Oh well, thats the start to my season I guess.
nice. i love fishing. streams, lakes, ice, from the shore, from the boat...i dont care. its good to get out.
yep, i could feel its little tail going back and forth in the water. I have fished long enough to be able to tell the difference between stuff at the bottom and fish...............
cut out of work at lunch today to spend some time on my home river just a few minutes from the house(live on a popular trout-lake). it's primetime right now on this particular river for hatchery steelhead(mandatory catch-and-release for all wild steelhead in washington), lucked out and had a half-mile of river to myself. hooked 3 fish floating marabou jigs, landed 2, 8lber and the other in the mid teens, bonked both of them and the fillets are brining now and have a date with my smoker in the morning. mmmmmmm mmmmmmm!! smoked steelhead!!!!
I should start fishing for Walleye again-Awesome Walleye in a couple of lakes and a river less than 10 miles away I walleye fished as a kid A LOT-I was born in the Walleye capitol of the WORLD Walleye = GREAT EATIN Done a few bass trips already, last one was great And also about 20 days of Steelhead fishing-decent fishing this year
Walleye are prevelant as far south as lakes in NE TN. Walleye is by far my favorite fresh water fish to eat.
I went out yesterday and snatched this lady, from the bank.... Largemouth Bass (sorry the pic is fuzzy)
I love fishing, even though I have only done saltwater fishing. Next time I take a trip north I want to try out some fresh water fishing. -Joel
