Don't miss the boat like you did with the AMMO, take my advice and START BUYING EMERGENCY FOOD NOW!

I buy mine from My Patriot Supply and 4Patriots but there are many other online companies that sell good quality emergency food and most of them are running Fourth of July sales RIGHT NOW!

    Please don't ignore this.

You can survive without guns and ammo....YOU CANNOT SURVIVE WITHOUT FOOD!!!

Coincidentally, I just this morning bought a 25-lb bag of Gold Medal All-Purpose Flour packaged for the hotel industry for just $5.99 at Kroger. They had a full pallet of it, I don't know why. I have absolutely no idea if I will ever open the bag. But for twenty-four cents a pound I said "why not"?

Oh you again :) DO NOT GO BUY EMERGENCY FOOD

Personally I think "emergency food" is the biggest crock of overpriced crap there is. For a fraction of the price of "emergency food" you can buy bulk from your local Sams/Costco etc: rice, beans, popcorn (cornmeal) and put it into lowes buckets with mylar and o2 absorber. Pretty much anything. Salt, sugar, spices etc. Just be careful to understand what's good for long term storage and what isn't. (E.g., white flour is not.) No that's not as fancy as "beef stew" or whatever but the chances of needing it are extremely low. If you ever do need it, you spent a dime on the dollar of the nutbags and will still survive.

Got some of the fancy stuff, more of animals, vegitibles and fruits that we can yearly. The one thing I don't have much of is those water purifying tabs, but I have a lake next to the house and plenty of wood to boil water stacked in the pile or still growing in the woods

I have about enough regular food for about 3 months, and I rotate it out as we use it and replace it. We have a well for water and can hand pump it.

Good luck, but as with guns and ammo now this is the worst time to START buying. It's like trying to stock up on hurricane supplies when it's bearing down on you-SO IS EVERYONE ELSE.

Prepping for disasters should be ongoing but the worst time is when s disaster is perceived imminent. The bandwagon gets crowded, supplies disappear, choices diminish and prices. Good planning certainly can't get done. Have you been able to do any research on the companies you're recommending, i.e. good quality, shipping times, customer service issues, what common foods can be stored and how tonp store them, etc? The time to buy was BEFORE now

    You would think, right?

In my other thread that I started in August of last year, "start buying ammo now!", the majority of you did not listen and now you are screwed!

It is NOT too late to buy emergency food, there IS still time!

I clearly remember the first day of the run on grocery stores.
I had no idea it was happening, and was just going there with my wifes weekly list.
She had just baked something so one of the items was flour to replace what she used.
There was not a single bag!
I got home and told the wife about the shortages, so she went to the pantry and freezer, came back shortly and said the floor can wait, I still have 80 lbs.

She treats cooking supplies like I do ammo. If she uses a pound she restocks with 5.

Don't wait for a pandemic to prepare for shortages!

Covid has taught me a lot about emergency food. Before Covid I purchased a bunch of Mountain House. When Covid hit, I realized I really don't want to be sheltered in place eating freeze dried food. Living off that would make a depressing situation more depressed. So I keep a reasonable supply of normal food in the house. Eating good food is an important part of keeping ones sanity in these situations. I've always had plenty of paper products. Why not? They are cheap and non perishable.
So for me, 3 weeks worth of good food has proven to be plenty. And if I have to resort to freeze dried, oh well.

If you are inclined to do this, check out the stores ran by and for the Latter Day Saints church.
