22LR will be the first thing to go up in price, it always is.

Next 9mm will start disappearing, that is clue number two.

Finally, 5.56 and 7.62 x39 will no longer be available or affordable.

    Welcome to an ammo shortage!

I follow SGAmmo and Target Sports USA and have noticed in the last few months that supplies seem to have tightened a bit on 9MM and 22LR as far as variety. Not a lot but a start IMO. Prices are still excellent but noticed TSU just raised their price on CCI SV a few bucks a brick.

IMO we are one major mass shooting away from the next ammo panic due to election season and with all the money Bloomberg is spending he will bombard media continuously about any such mass shooting and that his gun control is needed as will fake news MSM. There will be major talk about need for federal ammo taxes, to ban internet ammo purchases, and to limit ammo purchases.

I m pretty good shape in ammo for my needs but will be buying more soon especially of some of my favorites like Federal American Eagle 9MM 124 gr and 147 gr and CCI Mini Mags and SV. It was not that long ago where about the only 9MM ammo we could find was 115 gr as far as range ammo.

If one is not fairly well stocked up on ammo for their needs and has the funds to do so, I would not wait much longer to buy cheap and stack it deep.

I agree, it's only a matter of time before the Democrats orchestrate and carry out another mass shooting to further their gun control agenda.

I really wish people would wake up and see the Democrats for what they really are.

If they come for the guns, and they are trying desperately to come for the guns, it will be civil war 2 and everybody with an IQ over 50 knows it!!!

While I will not give the Democrats/leftists/socialists/communists the slightest shred of tolerance, doing all that you suggest is far easier said than done. SCOTUS has a conservative majority now and if Trump gets a second term which I think is likely, he'll almost certainly get to put someone with brains in SCOTUS when the prune Ginsberg finally calls it quits.

Much of what you suggest would be challenged and supported by a SCOTUS like what we have. Scalia, in Heller V DC, said you can't ban an entire class of weapons. Don

OK, I admit I've been spoiled by the lack of restrictions and easy availability of reasonably priced ammo here in Arizona. I don't hunt, or compete, anymore, just go to the range on quiet afternoons to shoot targets. Never stocked up on ammo to anywhere near the levels that many apparently have. I use mostly 9MM, and while shopping in the local Walmart, could stop buy sporting goods and pick up 9MM ball ammo, as well as the occasional box of .45, .38, .357, etc., at good prices. Well that abruptly ended. For the most part, I've used the online suppliers for this or that specialty ammo not available locally. But looks like I will start going there for reasonably priced range ammo more often in future. And to think, for years my wife has actually told me to, "buy ammo". Her thought on this is that the 2A doesn't mention ammunition. I hate it when the wife is right;)

IMHO, Though some Democratic candidates are less vocal about their desire to restrict firearms and ammunition than others, I have no doubt that if elected any one of them would push for the most draconian restrictions on firearms and ammunition. This issue is an issue which has always been very close to the Left's heart, but has become much more apparent since the '60s......

Sometimes I wish the government would just try their BS so we can get the civil War started and over with so that my children don't have to fight it.

Whether you think President Trump is going to win or not is irrelevant because there is still going to be a run on ammunition very soon, it's just what happens before an election, because Democrats have already started their propaganda campaign.

Actually it does, when it says 'well regulated' that, in the vernacular of the day, meant equipped and provisioned, ready for a fight.
They could not write everything in, like horses for transport, cows, pigs and chickens for food, Cannon, shot and shell, powder. Well regulated seemed to cover it all.

Tula 223 is on sale for $3.99 a box at a store near me. $4.19 for the HP 223. Someone backed their truck up literally and got all the $3.99 ammo. I got some of the HP though.

Nobody thinks ammo issues will have any crime improvement..

It is all about taking away rights from legal non criminal americans.. thats why they want illegals to have special status and on goverment assistance.. democrats are anti american.. anti gun.. anti free thinking.. they want no guns and no jobs and no religion.. more people to control like rats in a lab experiment..

I think I said what you are saying here, just different words.

The Democrats have no integrity, spread only misinformation and lies, anything to accomplish their goals of subjugating people and forcing them to allow massive increases in governmental control, none of which is acceptable and all are in violation of the Constitution. Don

Seriously? You think the addition of yet another 22 pistol will effect the .22 price?

IF Trump gets re-elected. Can you imagine what the Democrap's are now doing? They are completely DESPERATE. Vote fraud will be through the roof. Are we just counting on getting enough votes to win? Against a no-holds-barred DNC. The same DNC who hatched a coup d'tat that is STILL active today, almost 4 years later! I'd say the outcome is anything but certain. And remember, Chief Justice Roberts was supposed to be a big Conservative. Turns out NO. Our biggest Conservative, Justice Thomas, will also likely retire. If we don't take the House, it's gonna be Kavanaugh all over again. And who is willing to go through that? I wouldn't even suggest anyone find confidence in the next election.

I think the crisis of 07-08 opened many eyes...I don't think the collective "we" will get caught short again, as I believe most have been buying steadily since the last shortage. And unlike food-stuffs, our "supplies" have a very long shelf-life. Still, as several of the more moderate posters have opined; when you have an opportunity and the price is right, it is always good to add a little more to the ammo-dump....if things get really bad...ammo, cigarettes and whiskey, will be prime bartering items...oh and toilet paper...
