It feels just like most of the Semi Custom 1911's I paid over $2000 for.
It's still one of the best deals going in the 1911 market JMO.

I keep looking at the dang SS Valor. I really don't need another 1911. I need more 625's. I'm gonna have to spend some money soon so I don't have enough to even think about it.

The Valor is not a nice pistol. I have owned a couple Dan Wesson pistols and I have misfortune of shooting a Valor. It is not a nice pistol. It is an awesome pistol. I say "misfortune" because once you shoot one you want one. I have stripped and inspected Dan Wesson 1911's side by side with Nighthawks, Browns, and Baers. I have always found the Wessons to be their equal in almost every way.

I am looking forward to the V-Bob that is replacing the C-Bob.

My lone ittybitty nitpick w' DW1911's was the lack of undercut triggerguard, but it looks like they are even doing that now. Very nice.

My new SS Valor goes to the range this weekend! I love both the look and feel of this gun.

So, what is the price difference between the SS and the black?

MSRP for the black model is $1913, and the SS model is $1594.

Man, that's a hell of a price jump to put a coating on. One more reason to get stainless I guess.

What is a fair price for the stainless model?
