    I bet they don't.

    I've been out hunting and seen squirrels chasing each other in trees, sometimes falling out of them. I've seen them fall at least 40 feet and hit the ground. The instant they hit the ground they ran off. Not even stunned.

    Depending upon what they baited it with I bet they only had to wait a few minutes.

    Peanut Butter really brings them in.

    My dog left me a present of a squirrel he nailed on the back

    porch this morning. He sits at the patio window guarding his

    outside space with an eagle eye out for all prey. This was the first

    squirrel he has killed. A couple good sized rabbits last winter and

    two chipmunks and now the squirrel. He's just 3 so he will keep the

    critters in line for several more years.
