‎04-03-12. Springtime in the Rockies. 3" of snow. There is a mountain range hidden by the clouds on the horizon.

We got a couple inches yesterday and another 5 inches or so far today with the wind blowing sideways. It is a welcome sight indeed since it is helping to put the Lower North Fork fire out, (it destroyed 27 homes and killed three people), and helping reduce the fire danger.

We need several one foot plus snows or days of rain before May or we'll spend the summer evacuating from fires... or rebuilding.

The boss (the boss in the USA boss) told me it was 80 something Sunday and snowing today.

I maybe this is the last snow of the year and summer tires can go on when I get home.

Down here in Douglas County we have more. The plows from CDOT were spewing slush 25 feet into the air when I went to work this morning. But I bet it will be all gone if I try to go skiing this weekend. :crying:

It was 84 Sunday when I was at the Aurora Gun Club.

If this is the last snow of the year you may not have a house to come home to. Can't even use the chain saw for fear of sparks. About as dry as I've ever seen it and I've been up hare for three decades.

Send some down here! I'd take about, oh, 12 feet or so.

It's a powder day up there. Beautiful front range views. Snow hanging on trees. Wow on the eyballs. Most beautiful day is "day after the storm". (Good for shooting too, little wind).
