So I've been told by several people, as well as read competing theories on here about swiching to a heavier recoild spring and stiffer guide rod for shooing hotter loads through a G20. I just ordered a bunch of 180 gr. Underwood and If I do want to switch those out, what would be some good options? I looked around on the Lone Wolf website but I didnt see much for a g20... maybe I am blind. Is there a specific type of spring I need other than an aftermarket recoil spring.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

A stiffer guide rod serves no purpose other than making your wallet lighter.

Your G20 was designed to handle 1990 full power ammo.

A few people here have reported reliability issues with non OEM recoil spring assemblies.

I think that those of us that load our own are more prone to using heavier recoil springs. If you are running the average factory loads the stock spring will work fine. I run a 22# Wolf spring and Wolf steel rod. This combo piles my fired cases into a nice little pile; the factory spring allowed the cases to assume low altitude orbit.
