After paying 9 figures for exclusive rights to stream The Joe Rogan Experience, spotify is having internal struggles with employees who want to drop the show.
They have supposedly had 10 all-hands meetings about Joe making "transphobic" comments. Spotify employees feel "unwelcome" due to this content.
According to Rogan, spotify has no say over content. They just bought the rights to stream and he'll continue exactly as before. If they bow to these whining employees, it could be the fastest $100million they've ever thrown away. I can't imagine they would even consider that.
There's no way they could have been unaware of Rogan's penchant for colorful and controversial methodology. With his current "freedom quest" to Texas, I doubt he's in the mood to be censored.

    Spotify employees feel “unwelcome”???

Maybe they can now relate to white, male, productive, patriotic gun owners.

Some Spotify employees are offended by the most popular podcast in America...

It’s fascinating that some schmuck thinks they can shut down what is essentially free speech because their feelings get hurt.

The problem is we have fed the monster for years with political correctness.

Spotify needs to make it clear to their employees they bought Joe Rogan for a reason. They spent a lot of money doing it. They are not going to throw that away because their feelings are hurt. I am sure Spotify employees are paid well. They can either leave Spotify or stay.

A couple people complain about some comment and act like it's the end of the world. Grow thicker skin or get the hell out, is what they should be told.

    I wouldn't tell them that.

I'd politely listen to their complaint, thank them for sharing their feelings, and then fire them.

I'd also have security escort them out. Leftists can't be trusted.

You should start a better podcast so that Spotify will pay you $100,000,000 + $1.

His podcast did $30,000,000 last year, before this contract.

So what. Does that mean it is good? How many illion dollar movies blow chunks? Trust me I tried listening, especially when he has a guest on I like. When I found out he is a Bernie supporter and he talked of moving out of CA to TX because of high taxes, he really lost me. I think he smokes too much weed. He can commentate a good fight on UFC PPV though.

    Oh, eat chit.

Not really a Rogan fan as a result of the Bernie thing and before that he was bugging Russell Brand to use drugs again telling he was missing out over and over while Russell kept telling him he could not handle them and did not want to be an addict again. That is a real DB maneuver.

You ever notice that one person seems to become a hot property as if plucked from obscurity by a single power broker? Didn’t really hear a lot about him before a few weeks ago. Yes, I know, he has the most popular pod cast. But he didn’t show up on my radar and now I’m hearing about more frequently.

While it may be subjective as to whether or not his podcasts sucks, your opinion is in direct opposition to a consistent 190,000,000 downloads each month. So it's very safe to say that while his podcast may suck to you, it most certainly doesn't suck in terms of continued popularity. He has the world's largest podcast audience with 11,000,000 regular listeners.

Personally, I think he's a bit of s blowhard who thinks he's smarter than he really is, while being fakely self deprecating. But to say his podcast sucks is just retarded in the face of how popular and lucrative it is.

That's the nature of capitalism and consumerism.

A large company that offers a service for enjoyment just paid the man an obscene amount of money to have exclusive rights to broadcast his content. Now they're pushing that content as far and as wide as they can to attract subscribers to pay for that content.

It's no different than Pepsi paying Michael Jackson to catch his hair on fire, or Nike paying Kaeperdick to take a knee and create that much sought after and revenue-generating publicity.

Sometimes he has good episodes and other times he flops hard. The Mel Gibson episode was just one example.

I actually liked his Bernie Sanders episode, but for the life of me, I can not understand why the man would support Bernie. He knew what Bernie's policies would do to his own bottom line but yet he talked about the man like he was just a bro from down the block who was cool to hang out with. Very perplexing...
