Anyone thinking of renewing their membership with Sportsman's Guide be aware that the two $10 coupons that you receive from them are NO LONGER good for 12 months, only 6. When I called to ask why I was given the answer "That's just what we did." :steamed::steamed::steamed:

    Eh.

If you get the emails from them, and the catalogs. You can always find good deals. For coupon codes, they can almost always be found at www.retailmenot.com

........a member of their buyers club or the like, but have never had a bad expierance dealing with them. They took back some mis-ordered stuff with no questions asked.

Check them out every now and then for some good ammo(in bulk)deals.

I have had no problems with them and have been a member for 3 years. I doubt I will renew my membership as there is very little they carry now that I either dont already have or I am simply not interested in. I get most of my ammo elsewhere now. They do carry alot of crap of odds and ends much of which doesnt interest me.

I have been doing business with them for over 10 years.
That is probably an average of 6 to 8 orders a year over that time period.

In all that time, I have only had two orders that were bad. One was a pair of jackets that were the wrong size, and the other was a pair of boots that were as well.

In both instances they paid the freight back because of their mistake, and made things right. While some will claim they use the good old bait and switch tactics, I have never experienced that.

On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the best. I would rate TSG as a good solid 8.

They are fine if you only order stuff that is in stock. Avoid backorders.

I like them for their Big and Tall clothing. Also lots of WIDE boots and shoes.

    So far, I'm happy.

( I used my coupons pretty quickly)

I have had almost all good experiences with them over the last 12 years, the only bad thing I ever experienced was I ordered some FRS/GMRS radios and they came and were marked reconditioned. There was no mention of that in the ad. They were unwilling to send me new ones or credit me anything, but quite honestly it was still a good deal and I kept them anyway.

2 years and no problems. If out of stock, they notify and cancel. Never had them try a bait and switch. I never ordered anything that was clearly marked backorder only.
