    Offshoot of Okie's Eggo/Niller-puddin thread. . .

    Holy FRIGHT!

    1. This stuff is awesome. (Nutella, not niller/eggo mix)

    2. Billed as a nutritious pb substitute. (Great commercial - even made me think it didn't taste that good it is so healthy. LOL)

    3. I believe it contains no healthful ingredients at all. First ingredient is SUGAR! 200 calories per serving (2 Tbspn)

    4. Did I mention it tastes awesome???

I bot it on Saturday as a goof. My 12 yr old daughter (tattoo, blue hair) almost ran me down pulling it out of the bag. We grabbed two spoons, then I tried it. WOW!

I'm pretty sure she's down half-a-jar already. At several dollars a jar, we won't be buying it again.

It's like spreading candy on your food. Daughter #1 put it on a donut Sunday AM. ROTFL!

I think that you can get large amounts pretty cheaply at Costcos/Sams.

I bought some over here in Spain thinking it may be a change of pace from peanut butter on crackers.

    :wow::shocked::ack:

It quickly earned a place of the list of "The Ten Foulest Things I've Ever Put In My Mouth!!

I had it first in Germany in '86. It's very good on buttered toast and dipping with shortbread cookies.

At every sidewalk creperie in Paris, you can get crepes with Nutella and banana. We were so hooked, when we got home we bought a crepe pan and learned to make them ourselves.

Be careful, though. Once a weekend is okay. Any more than that and the cost of new clothing will outweigh the benefits.

IIRC, Nutella is made from hazelnuts (filberts) instead of peanuts. However, chocolate and peanut butter are two of the major food groups.

When I was in Dubai they had Nutella in little squeeze packets like ketchup comes in. I was in Heaven... well except for the being in Dubai thing, that place blows.

Yes, hazelnuts is a main ingredient.

There's a foreign auto repair shop here in town that sells hazelnuts in the fall. That's odd in and of itself, but they put up a sign that reads, "HUGE FILBERTS FOR SALE," and that always makes me laugh.

Sure you didn't try Vegemite?! Nutella is the best stuff in the world! I ALWAYS have a jar of it at home.

Running late in the morning? Nutella on toast...try it!
