I'm trying to take a screen shot of my PayPal account for just the portion I have highlighted.

I'm pressing ALT+prntscreen holding them down together)
I then open Notepad and when I click on edit, everything is greyed out.

I've also just tried CTRL+V to paste.

    Nothing.

I've done this in the past with wonderful success, both with a full page screen shot or just the highlighted portion.

I'm just missing a step, I'm sure. I must be brain dead.

I use MZ Firefox, but I tried it from IE6, too.

    Anyone wanna help?

I got it most of the way.

I forgot to use Paint instead of Notepad.

Now...............I still want to just copy the portion of my PayPal account that shows the transaction.

I'm highlighting it, but if I press ALT+PNTSN and then paste into Paint, the entire page pastes and I don't want some of the info such as my balance, etc. to be seen.

    Any input?:help:

Just crop the portion you want in paint and cut it, then open a new page in paint and paste it.

Yeah, you gotta crop it out. print screen ONLY captures the entire display, or alt+print screen to capture the entire active window.

Were you wanting an actual screen shot, or just the text?

If your doing text, why not just copy/paste it in a word doc?

IF you wanna hide stuff, paste into Paint and then use the White pen color to 'white out' any pertinent information.
