Does anyone know if non-residents can hunt prairie dogs all season or is it restricted to two 5 day slots like the pheasant hunting?

I'm looking at public land around Pierre, are there any dogs around there? Pheasants?

Ok, I was going to go out to SD last weekend on a combination prairie dog hunt and scouting mission for pheasants but my new high power scope still hasn't arrived. So, I'm switching gears and am going out this weekend to the Yankton area to scout for pheasant hunting spots and to hunt coyotes.

Where are the yotes and pbirds?:)

For lack of any better plan as of now I will head northwest out of Yankton towards the grasslands that rustychev mentioned.
