I have been in the market for an austrian proof marked Glock 19 and wanted to where one could be found.

If anyone happens to have one or knows where one can be found please send me a pm.

    Cheers,
    Tim

Most of them have probably been sold but they were all over the place and readily available when the gun buying frenzy started after the election of our current president. My local gun shop had several for months. I purchased a few myself. I don't know what the current value is but most collector's say that the Austrian proof marks didn't really add to their value.

They will tell you they don't add much to their value until you ask to buy one of theirs. You just can't find them any more, collectors know they will only go up in value and are hanging on to them, I am.

Wow you are going to pass up on a gen 2 with proofs and less then 500 rounds for a gen 3:dunno:
A gen 2 is going to be more rare and hold better value as time goes by.

If the OP wants a Gen 3 Austrian marked gun that is his choice. Maybe he already has the older eagle marked guns. Maybe not.

As I have both a G19 second and a G17 and G17L first gen, so marked, I would also pass on your two guns. Unless the price was way low or something.

You have to look on GB and see if you can find one, be advised that they don't always get listed as such as most people don't seem to view them as anything more than a glock 19. So you have to know what to look for even in terrible pictures. and you have to basically look at every 3rd gen G19 listed.

Check your local, smaller, mom and pop type gun stores, they may not get the traffic of bigger places and may have one or 2 on the shelf.
