All the sudden everyone is upset about the new caffeinated alcoholic drinks as if it's a new concept and a threat to national security. Those two drugs have gone together since the beginning of time.

That's cool I'll just buy my energy drinks and booze and mix them together myself lol. No need to have'em do it at the factory..............just like you said someone trying to justify the existance of their job.

Yep, we'll ban a product used mostly by underage drinkers.
    That'll teach 'em.

When I read the name "Charles Schumer" the other thread about the one way trip to Mars quickly comes to my mind.

Theres a big difference between those and whats being banned.

But not so much when you use the Jagar Bombs as an example.

That's the goofy part. These drinks were in dusty corners of liquor stores until the do gooders got a hold of the names....now every one of my jackass co-workers wants to get their hands on some.

The alcoholic energy drinks are supposedly popular among younger military personnel. Because the can doesn't look like they would contain alcohol they can drink on the job.

"No Sergeant, I'm just drinking an energy drink. No need to worry!"

You can thank Washington state for leading the pack on this one. We already banned them, they will be off the shelves here pretty soon.

I hate my state. Diet California, same poo taste with only half the calories.

Nothing in that article indicates there is a problem due to these drinks. I imagine (as a former high school student) if one wished to drink "on the job" they'd do so out of a coke can or coffee cup (as has been done since forever).....in which case the canning of these drinks would not be a factor.

ETA: When I initially quoted the post there was only one article linked....I haven't read all four.

They are disgusting :puking: . But great if you want to quickly pregame before going out. I had a Four Loco 2 weeks ago, which is equivalent to 4 beers in a size of 2. It works. I'm not going to miss it once it's actually banned (NY state just banned them) because I can make my own drinks stronger and better, but this is just another pointless regulation.

I stopped drinking about a year ago, these were out for longer than that. Now some kids die and its a big deal.

The damn things taste like high octane cough syrup. I used to like the jager bomb when it was done right with the shot glass in the mug....

But good lord one can of Joose is like 4 beers and 3 cups of coffee all at once.:wow:

Drink three of them in an hour....

The first linked PDF would give the best overview about the Army's viewpoint on alcoholic energy drinks.
