I mounted my iPod on the L side of the forearm. Bullet Flight app FTW.
I have no need for lights, beam lasers or designators, and it doesn't sound like you do either.
I don't even have a need for an ar, but I WANT one!![]()

Love the simplicity of those ar examples... You gave good advice, I'm not sure that I have the willpower to follow it. I've wanted an ar for so long, now that I'm getting one, I have no patience. Like a 40 year old virgin about to score... :rofl:I recommend starting out slow. Add one thing, work with the gun for a while, get used to using the AR15. Then add something else if you feel you are really missing out on something.
I keep most of my AR15's in basic configurations. I only have a couple really tricked out AR15's.

Let's list the possibilities...others will add what I have missed.Love the simplicity of those ar examples... You gave good advice, I'm not sure that I have the willpower to follow it. I had to search "sopmod".I suggest adding absolutely every cool gadget you want to your M4gery. It's your damn rifle, so do with it as you please. Some like KISS rifles, some like Minimal Efficiency rifles, and some want SOPMOD clones.
To each their own.
Wow.![]()

Why would you need any of those things?Let's list the possibilities...others will add what I have missed.
Eotech/Aimpoint/ACOG/scope.
VFG (you need a VFG to hold the pressure pad for your light)
Weapon light.
Laser.
Sling.
Double P-mags.
What did I miss?
Who said anything about "need"?Why would you need any of those things?
This is one of those topics.....if it has to be explained to you, then it's not for you, you're not interested. Why would you need any of those things?
I know, right?:rofl:Who said anything about "need"?
Who the hell "needs" an AR anyway? :dunno:
I carry a gun for work everyday and I don't "need" an AR... they are friggin fun though!
To the OP, sounds like you have the proper attitude for the gun, enjoy.
EXACTLY!!!I know, right?
I laugh my butt off when people try to rationalize owning one. There's really no need to rationalize owning one, ya do it because you can and you want to.
True dat!!EXACTLY!!!
Guns are fun, if you feel you have to justify owning one, then you are falling into the trap of those that wish to take them away.
If you want one, buy it! If you want to stick pointless crap on it, go ahead. Others will make fun of you for it (hell I make fun of people for sticking pointless crap on their guns), but who the hell cares what others think?
I really get a kick out of those that tell you what you "need" or better yet "don't need"...

Ahh, you've been to the S&P forum too I see...True dat!!
The current AR flavor of the month is the KISS AR. Those that espouse KISS ARs rationalize it by talking about weight. I swear too many people live in fantasy worlds where the modern world collapses and they walk lone dusty roads living off the land with their trusty light-weight ARs. And I'd bet most such people are far too old and far too out of shape to live the fantasy they imagine.
:rofl::rofl:Sweet now you can watch porn while shooting zombies, nothing can top that.
