I just got in my Wolff Guide Rod/spring combo for my NIB Glock 27........

i installed the spring/rod like you normally do and reassembled the slide......the guide rod sticks out a good half-inch past the end of the slide......

I have used wolff rods/springs for years in other subcompacts i have owned and this is a first....

the package says Glock 26/27/33 guide rod/spring....

it fits and functions perfectly except for the guide rod sticking past the barrel.....

my G26 has the exact same rod and is flush with the slide

and the factory recoil spring looks like a Gen4 RSA......

did glock shorten the slides on these guns now????LOL....

Take it out and put it back in. I bet it will look just like it should.

Something is hung up. My G27 G4 does that if everything is not reassembled perfectly.

A 29/30 RSA might stick out the extra amount you're describing, I have no idea if you could even fit it into a G27. Perhaps they sent you the wrong one. Try taking one from one of your other subs and using it in the new G27, then try taking the new RSA and dropping it into one of your other subs.

If it were a 29/30 RSA I would imagine it would stick out past the muzzle before you even put the slide onto the frame.

Without the slide on, take the rsa and set it down in the dust cover where it is supposed to sit, this way you'll know if it is the right length. Sounds to me like it is just getting hung up...

Make sure the spring itself isn't getting hung up on reassembly- it happens.

IF everything ends up checking out and you see that nothing's hanging up or installed wrong, I'd contact Wolff. I had some spring problems with one of their units (for a G26) many years ago and they ended up replacing the entire RSA. Everything worked as it should after that. Good luck.

BINGO...i called Wolff today and said the inner guide-rod must be a G29/30 rod.....the rods are the same diameter, and the inner one is slightly longer in the 29/30 combo

they are sending me out a new kit today....

Wolff is a good company, always had good service from them
