Dude, I am so bummed out. Larry was the sweetest, kindest guy you'd ever meet.

He had been pretty sick in the hospital with this, and they didn't think that he was going to make it. I had hope though.

He owned his own mechanic shop here in Vancouver; East Vancouver Automotive. He had a good crew there working for him. I'm not sure what's gonna happen to his shop now.

He was the type of guy that would let you pay for minor services when you could, if you didn't have a check or cash on you at the moment. He knew you were good for it. He always greeted people with a smile, and he cared about his customers.

My family and I were all loyal customers to him for many years. He always gave us promo calenders, pens, and other knick-knacks just for the hell of it.

So bummed out about this. He was just a really good guy.

RIP Larry.

Get yourselves checked folks. Don't put it off; no matter how minor you think the illness is.

Dood, sorry for your loss.

You give great advice ... mom had phenomena twice last year - got her to the ER as soon as she showed symptoms.

Thanks for the PSA, amd again, so sorry for your loss.

Sorry to red this.

Pneumonia, diarrhea, asthma - more than one might think.

He sounded like a good guy.

I've had Pneumonia twice in the last couple years. I didn't even know I had it but the Doctor heard it in my lungs on a routine 3 month checkup.

God Bless & God Speed, I am sorry for your loss. Generally once a person gets pneumonia that person's lungs will be forever scarred & they will be very susceptible to catch it again.

I've had pneumonia at least twice and I can see how it could kill you if you were old, weak, very young or had other medical conditions.

I had it last year and my daughter just before the holiday.

How tragic, sorry for your loss.

My condolences. He sounds like a great guy.
Lost my dad to Legionnaire's disease: he was otherwise okay, got sick. Doctors thought it was regular pneumonia. In the course of just a few days, he was in the ICU, never to come out alive from there.
As I get older, I see more and more folks succumb to upper-respiratory issues. It's always quick and unexpected.
