The shop was visited by none other than Barry Dueck*, the lead designer of SureFire's suppressor division and Mike Mayfield ,SureFire's Director for International Sales! !

He said that SOE was the best stocked shop he's seen in the country, with the widest selection of lights, gear and knives. :D

It was nice meeting you sirs!

*Barry Dueck served with a Marine Corps Reserve Sniper Platoon and was a member of the Marine Corps Reserve Shooting Team. A founding instructor of the SureFire Institute, he currently travels world-wide as the manager of SureFire's military sales division, training military and law enforcement entry teams in low-light engagement techniques.

Can anyone guess what Bien (leftmost dude) is hiding behind his back?

    Hint: it's not a flashlight.

    Fyi.

The U.S. State department is very strict with regards to the export of suppressors. The will allow the export of all kinds of firearms (even select fire) but have yet to approve the export of any sound suppressors/moderators.

The same goes for late generation night vision equipment, they will not issue an export permit for these as well.

Yup! I used to be able to order stuff from catalogs like Cabela's, but they sent me a letter stating that scopes, optics, etc are no longer allowed to be sold to foreign customers. :(
