Check out this video at about 0:53 to 1:33 - guys escapes the rioters who are on foot, but others pile into a pickup truck and car and chase him down, block him in and he barely escapes.

That's why I have had a shotgun in my truck, iin addition to the usual Glock 27, since the riots started in May.

Never thought I would do it, but took delivery of a plate carrier last month. Can't believe it's necessary to make such a purchase being retired.

The twitter version shows the Prius guy later drove by a cop car after escaping, stopped his damaged vehicle and was promptly handcuffed by police.

I think the police gave awards that night.

    1. Quick and substantial windshield damage from skateboard..$100.00

    2. Adroit cut-off of fleeing innocent...$75.00.

    3. Fastest smashing of driver side window..$50.00.

    4. Innovative cursing at greater than 100 decibels...$25.00.

    5. Successfully fleeing angry mob trying to kill you...hold at gunpoint, handcuff and treat like a dirtball.

BTW-that Prius drive did not know how to handle his vehicle. There were a couple of times he could have escaped earlier.

OTOH, since he was a Prius driver, maybe he thought he could "reason" with the animals.

I'm waiting for the people who are tired of this to form into a mob and take on the rioters one on one winner take all

I drive a Prius. Mainly because I need a vehicle with good gas mileage and none of you clowns are paying for my fuel costs. If you'd like to start, I'll happily go buy another Excursion with the Triton V10 6.8L that I used to own...got a whopping 10 mpg.

Technically, the Prius is my wife's car and mine is a Ford Expedition EL. But, I've been working for the census as an enumerator for the last two months and driving 100 miles a day or more. At .575 cents per mile reimbursement, combined with a 47 mpg average, I do well.

There's also the fact that I know how to drive and have a nice surprise for any rioters that might try to pull me out of my car for whatever reason. But, seeing as I live in rural TN, not much chance of that occurring.

We truly live in a bizarro universe anymore. In Dem controlled cities, the police act more like bodyguards for the violent mobs than they do law enforcers.

Any poor sap who ends up in the wrong place at the wrong time, and is forced to defend himself from an angry mob, is the one considered the bad guy by the police.

One: I really like water-cannons as a crowd control device. Two: Never thought I'd live to see a friggin' skateboard used as a weapon. Live and learn. :dunno:

Me... a fat guy walking away from the buffet!

But really, a plate carrier is body armor... a vest that has pockets that allow you to add armor plates. Think bullet proof vest.

Yep--more evidence that the cops aren't by default on "your" side. I mean, what should you do, not have fled "the scene"? Where were their asses 5 minutes prior? That's what I thought--down the street in safety. I'd have driven right past them.

While "Google" is your friend, it is a device into which you put SAPI (Rifle) plates. Worn outside your clothing.

Interview on video below the subject one shows a PD commander saying driver was detained because he "may or may not have struck a protestor. We have to look at that crime if it did occur."

    That sounds like PR clean-up.

Why do I say that? Well, if they had gotten a 911 call alleging a white Prius struck a "demonstrator" I am pretty sure the public information guy would have said it differently-like "We received a report of a white Prius targeting demonstrators..etc etc."

That is one of the creepiest videos that I have ever seen. So happy that the driver of that white car used his or her head and escaped from the thugs. Speaking of movie scenes, the foot chase reminded me of The Wanderers where the Ducky Boy gang was chasing them down the street.

And end up either in prison or banging it out with the feds., the way I see it. It's coming to the point where our govt. isn't protecting the interests of the working class tax payer. At what point do we realize that the real enemy is our govt., at all levels?
