My daughter's birthday is in a few weeks and I want to give her a web site. She's away at college and having her own web site will make it easier to keep in contact with friends and relatives (posting photos and news, etc). I figure half a GB of storage space and 10 or a dozen E-mail addresses should more than do the trick. I also want to reserve her childhood nickname as a domain name before the cyber-squatters get it. I'm obliged for any suggestions you might have for a suitable web hosting service.

    EDIT:
I have a web site thru EarthLink but I'm p*ssed at them and will relocate once my contract period expires, so I'm not going to put my daughter's web/domain on EarthLink.

some people like to keep their domains and their webspace with different companies.

but, if you want to keep things simple , get your webspace at the same place as you get the domain.

Godaddy.com has a $3.99/month hosting plan, and sells a lot of domains
