Sorry to hear but glad it went to a good home. What's funny is I don't think the 27 has as much kick as my 23. But to each their own, but I do like my .40's. I just look at it as a Chevy Ford thing. And as long as you're satisfied. :wavey:

Folks have to suit themselves.

My G27 was never my first choice when it came to owning a Glock. That was the G26.

I picked up my LNIB G27 for an incredibly low price, with night sights. If I remember right, I was carrying an issued .40 at the time, although of another make/model, so I didn't see the diminutive .40 as being too far afield of what I was commonly using.

I still prefer the G26, though. As a matter of fact, I just picked up a G26 OD to complement my original G26 from 10 years ago.

Once I got the G36, I stopped shooting my G27 completely.

I have an issued G27, and I own a G26. Every time we qualify, I shoot both so I'm within policy regardless of what I carry. When I shoot them both side by side I always think to myself, "I'm glad I bought the G26."
I shoot the G26 MUCH better than the G27, I don't shy away from the .40 S&W round, but in the subcompact platform I prefer the 9mm.

I can understand that.

I did a lot of shooting with the G27 because I had access to free ammo (for both 9 & .40) ... and the more I shot the G27 the better I did with the G26.

I've been more or less continually looking for the "optimal" small .40 over the last several years. That's caused me to end up owning 5 pistols chambered in .40 S&W. I still haven't found the "ideal" small .40, yet. Not sure I really will, either. My M&P 40c is noticeably "better" in some respects than the G27, but it's still not quite my idea of the "best" small .40 pistol.

If I hadn't been issued a couple of different .40's over the years, and hadn't had constant access to free ammo, I'd probably have stayed with using just .45 & 9mm for my pistols. ;)

Get yourself a 26. You will probably never want to part with it.

:agree:

I have a 26 and love it. Admittedly, it bit me a few times during my first two times at the range, but this was due to the Pearce extensions and no the gun itself. After a very minor adjustment, things worked out and I love this gun. It's now a coin-flip between the 26 and a 19 for my EDC firearm.
