That is exactly how socialism works. The power and wealth in the hands of a very few.

But guys. She's earned it. She's worked very hard to ensure jobs and tax revenue didn't make it into her district. It's really hard you guys.

A couple of years ago, she couldn't figure out how she was going to pay rent on an apartment in D.C. Looks like she's figured out how things work in D.C.

How can NYers want to keep her around after stopping Amazon from setting up there???
That would have meant a lot of jobs and tax dollars for them.

I honestly can't believe she won her primary. People in her district are clearly deficient.

Suspect she works better under a deck than seated at one. That could explain her honors graduation from college. As well as wardrobe.

It's not stupidity as much as it is ignorance. The entire culture in this country, media, entertainment, academia, etc. leans left, and people who don't follow politics closely are amazingly clueless about what's really going on.

The incumbent was asleep in the primaries, thinking he'd coast to victory as usual. And AOC had a well organized campaign, backed by the Justice Democrats, a far left group. She won the primary 16,898 to Joe Crowley's 12,880. That's a 4,018 vote margin in a district of 712,000 people. Less than 1% of the people in this one district gave us AOC.

And it doesn't hurt that the district is 47% Hispanic.

She's the latest 'celebrity politician', more famous (notorious?) for saying crazy stuff than for having solid policy ideas. But she's constantly in the news, and folks treat her like a movie star.

I know both. I was more speaking of this last primary. She had really good competition against her IMO and after the Amazon fiasco those morons still voted to keep her.
Like I said, they're deficient. Whatever form that takes.

She better watch out. Useful idiot firebrands are all well and good getting socialism installed.

But once the real powers that be get full control, squeaky wheels like her are the first to get the axe.
