We got slammed pretty good right before the weekend, & currently are under an another weather advisory.

Seriously, we’ve had early snowfalls before, but I can’t remember this much, this soon, for this long. Fall is generally my favorite season, but this is at least the 2nd year in a row we’ve been shorted on some decent Fall weather. Last Fall many local ski resorts set personal records for their earliest open day, & it looks like they are on track for an even earlier season this year.

Yeah well, you're not likely to have an earthquake or a hurricane. It almost seems like you get to pick one of: snow, earthquake, hurricane.

Yeah, 1st World Problems... I think I have the solution though. I told my wife that if I went out & bought a new $15k sled (on credit) that in all likelihood the snow would disappear until January. :animlol:

Hasn’t started here yet, amazingly. Headed to Traverse City early in the AM and fully expect to be in the ****.

    It was 60 yesterday.
It never snows before Thanksgiving, but it did.

I'm genuinely curious. It has never snowed before turkey day, but it is now. Where is that?

Here near milwaukee wisconsin today was our third large snow event in the last 2 weeks. I got my car and truck work pretty completed , and today was the third running of one of my 2 stage snowblowers.. i have four snowblowers and a heavy tractor with blower and another tractor with a 42 inch plow.. i take this snow junk seriously. If you get behind you can have feet of ice to deal with for months.

17 hp 32 inch simplicity commercial

    10 hp ariens 24 inch

    7 hp simplicity 22 inch

5 hp honda 20 inch flapper 4 cycle

For wet snows one may be better, for a light moisture snow at 6 inches a different machine works better.. plus occasionally with heavy use you can take a machine out of service for a while.. its good to feel prepared.

I feel your pain down here in SE Michigan too! Snow started at 7 am YESTERDAY and we're still getting a little lake effects - about to die down though. We now have a total of 9 inches of snow on the ground and it's 22 deg F at 5 am right now - on November 12th! School me again on this global warming thing????

I haven’t even started my sleds yet. It will probably all melt on December 1st and we won’t see any until mid January. Hopefully I’m wrong.

that is a pretty sight OP. I do not miss shovelling the stuff, but it is pretty.

There is just something about a day spent inside, looking out at that stuff, and deciding not one thing will be accomplished that day and just lounge around.

It snowed here 2 years ago. small, small amount that turned to icy rain. I had to work during it, it was crazy seeing the snow here. let me tell you - snow sure looks out of place on palm trees and banana plants.
