You would be happy with either one. A lot of people use the Spikes lowers and love them.

I put together a Spikes lower and absolutely love it. I compared it with my friends BCM and Daniel Defense, I honestly could not see a difference in performance. Spikes uppers are also really good - I used it to engage paper targets at 300 yards - hits are very consistent.

My newly finished SBR is built on a Spike's lower (price was right at the time, and I wanted HK-style bullet markings). 0 issues with it, and the overall quality seems quite good.

Spikes, BCM, and DD - they have all emerged as top quality alternatives to Colt, LMT, and other "tier 1" rifles. There are a number of very high quality AR's available to include the ones mentioned and others like Noveske, KAC, and LaRue. This is very good for the AR owner. Quality is becoming much more affordable.

I have the best of both worlds. Spikes lowers with BCM uppers
