I got one back at the beginning of October. I had a headache a few hours later but nothing I couldn't deal with.

DS got the mist a few weeks ago, and didn't have any SE either.

My doctor always insists I get the regular Flu shot, which I always do, but he recommended not getting the swine flu shot.

A couple friends got what they called swine flu but but I don't know if they had any kind of ful shots. It wasn't any worse than the regular flu and didn't spread through out the family.

When I got the regular flu shot I asked the nurse if she was going to take the Swine flu shot, when available. She said, No way.

    I'll pass.:)

I wonder what the status of the "swine flu pandemic" is right now. And no, I did not get any shots of any kind.

As of today, 13,907 deaths attributed to H1N1.
It's not news for the same reason the 42,000 auto accident deaths in the US in 2009 aren't news.

I got the vaccine in the form of an injection early November. The only side effect was a slightly sore shoulder for a day or two.

I guess the pandemic is over here since nothing has been in the news for some time.

Maybe they will announce the end when the pharmaceutical companies get their investment back.

Kids got the mist version of the swine and seasonal flu (not at the same time, 3 weeks apart) months ago. The wife and I got the swine flu shot a month ago, and my wife got the seasonal in october, but I never got the seasonal. At this point I don't see a need for the seasonal since its already January.

All and all, everyone is fine, no ill effects, and other than a minor cold/cough bug last week no one in the house got real sick this winter.

No flu shots for me... ever. Every time I got one while I was in the Navy I got sick. I stopped taking them... I don't get sick but once every couple of years and I generally recover very quickly.

So far this year I have been exposed to numerous people that were at the contagious stage of whatever flu they have / had and still nothing. A minor itch in the back of my throat but a hot tea and emergen'c solved that.

Boss got sick, several co-workers and even my girlfriend recently got sick... nothing here. But anyhow swine flu is not that dangerous and in typical fashion the media took it and over hyped it and instilled in the public a panic state. When you compare regular influenza with swine flu... you have a higher probability of dying from the regular run of the mill flu than swine flu.

In my opinion, it's not worth the potential health risks to take the vaccine. But you would be better of asking a doctor then getting another doctor to corroborate or refute the first doctors prognosis.

I got both flu vaccine shots last November.
    Both were free.
Stood in line for 7 minutes.
    Absolutely no side effects.
I have been getting the seasonal flu shot for several ongoing years.
    Absolutely no side effects.
I get a tetanus (or Tdap) booster once every 10 years.
    Absolutely no side effects.
