Its getting thin over here....
Countdown T-10 and counting.....
I was wondering the same thing. I noticed the "Salute to Veterans" thread only received posts from 4 people, that didn't impress me much either. My dad and brother are both retired military, I couldn't pass the physical. Maybe I will check out the other board.
We are still here and doing well. No complaints that I know of. The GSSF Season is winding down.
Yep, I am still here. Still have several matches this year but they are spread out.
Guess I don't have much to complain about. I must say though that I was thoroughly disappointed in the amount of response to my thread "Salute to Veterans". It just proves my life long feeling that for the most part the general public just doesn't care until the time comes where we are needed. After our Unwelcomed return from Southeast Asia I am kinda used to those feelings.
I do want to thank the great response by Mark, WIG, Terminator and the new guy OMF64. Thanks for being there, caring and posting some wonderful comments.;? ;? ;? ;?
P.S. By the way this is not the only board I visit and am active on.;c
You are very welcome Chief ;? ;c ;c
I am working a lot this week, and getting ready for an IDPA match this weekend in lexington.
Good luck Terminator. Hope to see your name in the winners block. We are going to get some practice in next Saturday to get ready for the San Antonio Match. Hope to get 800 to 1000 rounds of practice in if my old body can handle it.
Well said. ;f
Don, I said what I meant & even though I addressed it to you, it was meant for all the veterans. If I can be so bold as to speak for some others, there are many people that just don't know how to say how much they appreciate you all. I'm not making excuses for people not responding but I know why some don't. They don't know what to say or how to say it. They may be worried about saying something that brings back bad memories or offends somehow. I'm going back over to the other thread & share a little experience I had one time, hope no one minds. I should have done it the other day. MLM
Starting to hear the vaccum of the masses leaving!
Be nice to your old friends.
Up here anyway; sealing up the house and all - pic attached.
And setting up the Christmas display...
WIG; Neat pics. Except for the Igloo it almost looks like "Red Neck" country with the deer hanging. ;f ;f ;f Of course I didn't see any pickup trucks with gun racks in the back window and such.;a ;a ;a
Sorry I don't have any pics of "Evil Jack Black" yet - as far as the rack goes, I don't care for empty ones and, in some of the more "endarkened" cities around here a window-rack with the correct tools in it will get you proned out...
Ahh, finally some frost on the windshield this AM; should have the makings of some jerky this time next week.
Now if you want "Red Neck" - we need to see if Butch will post his pic of some dogs that, 'I swear', were running around Nicholasville...
Those pickup trucks are here in Virginia.
I downsized it a little.....
Hey I think I remember those 3 guys from Lexington. Am I right? ;z ;z ;z ;f ;a
actually that was some of the staff at the Super-8
Somehow, I knew that was coming......and it's a very accurate observation!
Geeepers; I have stayed a a couple Super 8's but never ran across a homely trio like that.
