We had one a block from my house. I loved their food. They closed and re-opened as an Einstein Bagels. What a disappointment. tom. :fist:

The last of whatever this is... Flour tortillas, lots of hamburger/cheese, more tortillas, more meat and cheese, repeat.. All I know is my wife did a great job. Between this, and the chicken she fixed the other night, I hope I don't gain back the weight I been tryin to loose ! HA. :faint:

Not picture worthy but the leftover gravy over bread and a cup of yogurt.

Well this hot weather(3 days) with no A/C is taking it's toll on this 70 year old. The only work I did after having a nice slice of cheesecake was to clean and change fuel for my two hummer feeders. I just can't believe what I went thru in Vietnam with the USMC at age 18.

It was 99 a couple hours ago and 94 right now just before 6pm Pac Time. I'm not in pain, but I get so damn lazy during a heatwave and a severe loss of appetite. Since the cheesecake I've had some cold water, Welch's Grapejuice, and right now a can of Squirt, but no appetite whatsoever. If I do eat it will be very late, like maybe 10pm. What? Either Raisen Bran and Ensure or two Rice Krispie Treats and Ensure. Well tomorrow it will be 10-15 degrees cooler and that will sure help. Least my bones and joints don't ache.

What is a keto bagel? I'm ready for something a little different.

I'm not really fat, according to my wife. However, I really want to drop about ten pounds before the holidays get here. I'm nine days into this 6/18 Intermittent Fast thing, almost Keto diet. I haven't bought any of the test strips yet, so don't know if I'm in Keto mode or not. This diet is pretty easy---if I don't look at this link and all the good food. And I can tell its working.

Do they make Keto beer? I did mention nine days. I could open a non twist off beer bottle bare handed. But no, I trudge on.

Now about that Keto bagel? Where does one buy that?

Well I kinda chilled outside for a bit in that recliner, used the little, green table for a footstool. I got up from the chair just before 8pm. I had an appetite but what to eat. Well time to send for the reinforcements. Campbell's Cream Of Chicken Soup, Crackers, Cheese, Milk, and Ensure that should be a great pick-me-up. image.jpeg

Roasting veggies really does something special to them. Some light seasonings, or a splash of balsamic vinegar, and you really light 'em up.

Nice work. That photo looks great! You can almost taste them over here. It looks like a photo you'd see in a gourmet magazine or website.

That sounds really good.. It don't really get cold in Texas, like it does on the place in the Oklahoma Panhandle, but it was 57 this morning, and that chili starting to sound mighty good.... ;)

    Enjoy amigo.

Last night, fresh okra fried in a light flour with seasoning and sugar, hamburger meat patties with mushroom soup baked, macaroni salad, mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese. I wish I had had some green tomatoes to cut up and cook with the okra, God I love that combination!

A really nice neighbor just stopped by to tell me they're making curry chicken right now and will bring some by tonight. It isn't made with some store-bought curry blend, where the flavors comingle and loose freshness and potency. They grind their own fresh spices and make up a homemade blend. It will be amazing...like it always has been. Can't wait! :eat:

Scarfing up the last of the 'really tender chicken' stuff, and fixins, with the very HOT salsa all over everything... May as well go out with a "Bang.." HA. (the milk really helps with the heat of this stuff..)
