I never cared for sports. At least not any offered at the school that I was forced to attend.

I did bicycle 30 miles most every day after school and ice hockey (not organized) when there was ice.

Yell king, track, cross country. Remarkably unremarkable. As I become older, I am glad that I didn't do football - I have enough aches and pains.

My school did not have a wresling team, but I did go to PE class one day and ther were matts on the floor. The PE instructor told us that we could choose our apponents, but also told us that we would all go up against everyone in our class before the quarter was over.

I figured that I would get the worst behind me so when I was up and asked who I wanted, i picked the biggest sumbitch in our class.
Yes, he pinned me down, but I did not make it easy for him.
That was the one and only day we wrestled.
The PE teacher was a lieing sack of $hit!

I was an active and successful Cougar Hunter in high school. My favorite sport by far.

It required an active fitness program though. Up every day at 5AM to hit the gym.

I played soccer from 6-16 years old. Tried football but it sucked and I got hurt pretty bad.

I got a job the day I turned 16 and worked all weekends and all summer. We weren't rich so I had to pay for my car, insurance, gas, smokes, pot, and booze myself. Not to mention college eventually.

I was never keen on team sports except soccer. Ironically now I'm healthier than most of those former jocks. I eat well, run, bike, lift etc.

High school wrestling. I was too small and skinny to play anything else.

A half year JV baseball. I kept hitting the ball out of the JV field so I was benched because the school had to pay for lots of windshields. So I quit until college.

Played baseball from 9 to 16 years old. City league. Not in high school.
Played basketball from 5th to 8th grade. Not in high school.
Played Tennis my Junior year. Quit to take a job bagging groceries at a local supermarket. Why? Who knows. My parents were dead set against my owning a car in H.S. Also it was not possible to earn a letter jacket with just 2 years of varsity in any sport. Had to be 3 at a minimum.

I didn't know enough about the game, nor could process information quick enough, to be a good player at regular ball sports. But, I specialized in some things. I could punt a football a mile and was the punter for a couple of years. I could also jump like a grasshopper so I was a high jumper in track, and they recruited me for basketball because I was the only one in school who could dunk.

Coached kids baseball for about 12 years and really enjoyed it.
