For the past couple of years, I totally abstained from the Christmas craziness and this year, added birthdays to that list.
In September, I cautioned friend Bonnie that I was through doing birthdays or Christmas. She understood, and respected my wishes.
This year, my wife asked for the most accurate GPS available on the civilian market. I was really impressed with that request until she said she also wanted it to do soil depth, alkalinity and frost-line. HH

I'm contemplating spending $30,000 or more on her this season for something I believe she's been deservant of and that she has been working at almost relentlessly over the last year. I suppose after 40 years of marriage, it's never too late to give the little woman just what she deserves.

I guess I’m also getting her a new steam iron. She loves making quilts and her iron just fried itself. So she ordered some top line Rowenta iron. I was told to have the box wrapped and under the tree.
