So not only did we get a Republican Gov, but they took control of rep seats.

Interesting they also passed a new Constitutional amendment to protect hunting AND fishing, which I thought was pretty cool. :wavey: So glad to be back here

Eh, careful on the protection prop. AZ had something similar, and it was written to take control out of game and fish dept hands (as far as conservation and regulations on bag limits, draw numbers, etc) and hand them over to politicians.

I had to vote no here

TN has been red for quite some time. It was TN who voted against "native son" Al Gore in 2000. If Gore had won TN in 2000, Florida would not have been needed and would not have mattered.

Gov. Bredesen is a democrat, but ran as a pro gun conservative.

I have two words for you, well maybe a picture is better:

Funny story: We lived in Nashville back during the Tennessee Tax Revolt, circled the capitol, made lots of phone calls to reps and senators, etc. Well, we were not loaded down with an income tax, but as part of the deal, some professional license fees were jacked through the roof.

Since then, we have moved from TN and a TN state income tax wouldn't affect me anyway. However, my PE license which used to cost $40/year is now $400+ per year and will follow me wherever I go until I die or give it up. I have licenses in other states and none, even Illinois, has a fee higher than $60/year.

I'm kinda wishing we would've lost LOL.
