She is 4 classes and a project away from graduating and may have landed her dream job. The hitch is it starts in a couple of weeks. She had classes this semester, the project over the summer and two classes that will not be taught until fall. She is supposed to graduate in December. By then the job will be gone.

She talked to the counselors and the told her.....Get this....

    Get Out!

They made arrangements for her to withdraw on a leave of absence, use the job as the project and finish the last four classes at home on the internet and even threw in her associates for the work she has already finished.

Worst case will be not getting the job and just going back to finish in the fall.

I have never heard of a school doing this for a student so close to finishing. If she lands the job it will reflect very well on the school.

I will post what the job is is and the details as soon as she gets the offer. She is so scared right now. Send her some positive waves. (Yes that was in Oddballs voice )

I think she is making the right decision. If the job is her 'dream job', take it. She can always go back and finish school. School will always be there, this job my not be. Additionally, it think it speaks volumes about your daughter that she is being recruited for a nice job before she even finishes school.

Sounds to me like a lot of people put a lot of value on your daughter's ability to succeed. An employer is willing to hire her and her school is willing to accommodate both the employer and their student.

I think your daughter needs to come to grips with the fact that she is succeeding in an adult world. You go girl!

    Congrats to your daughter!

You have been here long enough to know that that is probably not a good idea.
