So most of us share the same taste in carry guns but what about knives?

I would assume most folks here carry the 1911 platform as their CCW and I would also assume that some if not most of us carry a folding knife as well. I am curious as to what type everybody carries? Do we share the same taste in knives as well?

Here are the two I carry, I switch it up but I prefer the Nomad (the shorter one) and carry it most of the time:

Al Mar Nomad & Al Mar Falcon

Next purchase will be an Al Mar Shrike. Not sure if Al Mar is the best knife around but mine have been great and they fit my needs very well.

    What are you guys carrying?

Heya, Ruggles... This goes everywhere. Even to work! Gerber Para. Price didn't break me, but a great lil knife.

For everyday, I prefer the Kershaw Scallion... plus I have a Victorinox Executive in my pocket for those nasty hang-nails!

Yeah those Victorinox knives are awesome. I bought one at the PX on Okinawa back in 1988 and still have it, I use that thing at least 2-3 months for odd jobs. :)

Great feedback so far everyone :) Nice info indeed.....

I carry the Cold Steel Recon1 in the tanto profile or the spear point. They are a good, stout knifes that I won't cry if I loose it. I also like the Cold Steel Carbon V knives. Too bad that their U.S. supplier went out of business.

The folder I've been using is a S.O.G. Trident and I like it just fine, but I have to say I'm turning more into a fixed blade fan as an EDC. There's just a higher confidence level with a fixed blade, I like the durable sturdy feel better. I've been using a little RAT/ESEE Izula lately, and I love that little blade. Very well made, lifetime no questions asked replacement warranty and fairly priced. Now my folders are gathering dust and the Izula is getting carried the most.

I carry a Kershaw Leek or speed bump. I'm pretty ignorant about knives but those have worked for me so far. I'm REALLY like those Al Mars.

I have been carrying the same Benchmade Mini-griptillian for over 8 years. I have lost it once or twice, but I keep finding it .

    I usually carry a Glock, but I tote a 1911 fairly frequently.

I bought that Eye Brand in '97, and I made the sheath for it in '99. Worn it almost everyday since.

I bought the little Case in '02 and made the sheath for it shortly after that.

I carry everything in pairs. Two guns, two blades, etc.

Right now I am currently carrying a Kershaw Leek, and a Kershaw Skyline. I also always have a Leatherman Wave multi-tool on my belt that resides right behind my spare 1911 magazine.

It is a lot, but the weight does not bother anything and it works for me!

Nice knives everyone, I will have to say it looks like while we have the 1911 in common most of us carry different knives. :) No surprise there as there are so many great carry knives out these days. I do not know much about knives myself :(
