And I not only don't recognize any of the movies, I never even heard of any of these actors.

    What the heck happened?

    Where is everybody?

Redbox has an app and you can reserve movies for pickup. Tje send me one free rental every few weeks. Good customer service.

I couldn't tell you where the closest video store in my city is. The last one I went to is probably long gone. I went in there around 2008 and they wanted to know every single personal detail about my life, and put my application on hold because my address did not match my DL, then told me they don't open accounts for someone with a DL that is less than X amount of weeks/months old.

Yeah, I'm going to get a fake address on my DL so I can swindle from 10s of dollars. Before this place I think I went to a Blockbuster a few times in another city back in 2004, before that 2002 which was when I still went all the time.

On Demand, HBO, Starz, online, theatre. Video stores are dead.

First time you were in the porno store's straight section? :tongueout:

At least you were standing your ground. Were you in fear for your life?

I actually saw one the other day. I made a point of pointing it out to the wife since you don't see them often.

I have noticed you will find them, especially mom and pop ones, near vacation areas. People tend to put their old stuff into vacation homes or just not update them so that means plenty of VCRs and no wifi.

I remember how excited I was when 7-11 started renting VHS tapes. 7-11 were everywhere and made picking up a new movie very convenient. Wonder if 7-11 has considered getting into the RedBox kind of thing?

The new release section of the video store?
What year was this? I'm thinking maybe 1985 but trying to pin it down.
Was The Goonies and Back To The Future in the NR section?
Where there Betamax tapes on the shelves?

Ok, I'm just bustin' on ya. :wavey:
I know what you mean, I often fail to recognize the current names of those who are supposed to be considered 'movie stars' these days.

They have those video dispensing machines around here. I see them in front of fast food and 7-11 type stores all the time.

I wish we still had video stores.....I enjoyed browsing the old and new titles on occasions. It made a decent stop on the way home from a dinner.

All of the blockbusters around me closed down about a year ago.

I picked up a movie on Thursday for the nephews. The local grocery stores has the BluRays/DVDs. I new video store did open up last Summer. I haven't been in that one. I don't know if they're making it or not.
