Congrats and well done not waiting for the 4th gen....not that big of a deal really, for the past month I have been reading people talk about how they are hardly any different and just as ugly and now everyone has to have one....good marketing by the Glockmiesters, its working....I am sure to come unglued just like everyone else when a g26 4th gen comes out, but until then, I am going to stay in love with my 3rd gen...the local shops just discounted most of the 3rd gen glocks, the 19, 17, 26, 27, 23, etc are all around 479 now, when the cheapest I could find was 525 in late november when I got mine...3 different shops reduced thier prices all at once, not sure whats up with that but Im guessing it may be because the new 4th generations are on the way?????...or maybe its just tax season and they want to move some inventory....who knows, all I know is I need more money

If you end up liking the gun, you'll have to reward your son's good advice by taking him to the range on the weekends.

I love my twins (G-19's). Go get some extra mags for it as it is easier to have loaded mags to shoot from rather than loading mags to shoot. A good 6-8 should work nicely!

Congratulations on the G19. Fine choice. Good decision to jump on the Gen3 model. Tried and true. Of course, the Gen4 would be fine, too, but at least you know that the Gen3 has been around the block and has proven its worth.

Congratulations on the purchase! A good one indeed! Welcome to the Glock club and the best darn Glock forum around. Enjoy your new Glock, which is one of the finest semi-automatic handguns ever made. You won't be disappointed with it. I do have to give you one word of warning though, buying Glocks can be addicting and the only way to deal with the addiction is to buy another one! :wavey:
