I signed up this past weekend. Is anybody else here a member?

It isn't cheap, but it is good piece of mind and they seem to have great resources as well.

thanks...yeah, it would be good to hear. Although I hope nobody here has had to. I'm glad your thoughts are they have a good rep. You pay month by month so you can always back out.

Yeah...I mean it is basically like all insurance...you are hoping you will never need it and the company is betting you won't either...but if either of you are wrong...there is the parachute

I’ve been a member of USCCA for five years now and have no complaints. I haven’t had to use their legal service yet, but have called them occasionally with carry questions when traveling certain areas of the country. I have always talked to a pleasant and knowledgable person regardless of the time of day. And their expos, while not the size of NRA, has always had numerous informative and professional instructors and speakers. I highly recommend them.

Yes USCCA has multiple levels of coverage and, if I remember correctly, can cover any use of force, not just firearms related incidents.

A'couple of years ago I took a lot of time researching and reading the mice type of several of the similar insurance and legal group providers. (I'm a nerd at heart.) At that time I thought USCCA was hands-down the best overall. They cover any kind of weapon, including none at all, and pay up front with no reimbursement requirement--an important factor, imo. They pay from the beginning, not just if you are formally charged. You reach a USCCA person when you call. You can choose any attorney you like. They have a network of affiliated attorneys, but you don't have to use one of them; you can use your own.

There were some differences in details among the plans I checked, both insurance-type and legal-group type, so do your homework. What is important to one person is less important to another. And I haven't compared plans recently.

What I didn't like about the legal group services that I checked is that if THEY decide upfront that you were not justified, they don't cover you at all. For me, that would be a deal breaker.

Since then, I haven't read or heard anything that would change my mind about USCCA. I like them.

As did I. I hope I never have to find out what it’s worth, but it’s comforting to know it’s there if I do.

    I plan on getting USCCA.

Ever since I heard a lawyer affiliated with one of the other services on the radio. He talked up his own service, but admitted that he’d never heard of a USCCA client losing their case and that he’d be happy to work for them.

I've had the Platinum plan since 2017. IMO, they made the most sense.

I hope I never need them.
