It's a lot better to go out with the experts rather than the novice. Or novices go out with the experts. Don't be shy, everyone was a green apple once.

If I will change the factory barrel with another brand, would I still qualify to enter in the production category?

To answer querries on this division, you can check out ipsc.com for the provisions on the production guns. They have a list of guns. Specific Glock models are also listed. C-Models are prohibited. Extended basepads are not allowed. Major mods like heavy magwell and tungsten guiderod are also frowned upon.
That's ipsc, but for the local clubshoot, some of the rules are bent.
Uspsa has its own list too. (This somehow cause some confusion).
But I think Ppsa adheres to ipsc rules.(Please correct me if I'm wrong).
Well, have fun and shoot safely.

    i don't think so.

if you want to change your barrel, keep your old one para maka-qualify ka pa rin sa production div ng ipsc.

sa idpa pwede magpalit ng barrel, extended slide release, extended mag release, even +2 basepads are allowed (which is immaterial anyway because you are only allowed a maximum of 10 rounds in the magazines.) you can even tune the trigger. sa ipsc production div dapat 5lbs ang minimum trigger pull weight.

no compensators, no magwells no weighted basepads and guiderods for both ipsc production division and idpa stock service pistol (ssp) div.

    hope this helps.
