And to my surprise, 249 rounds went through without a hitch. One of them was dead. You could see where the primer got hit though, so it wasn't the gun.

So...are these okay to run through my glock? Because at $8 a box it was hard not to

Sounds fine for range but not carry. I never shoot the steel becuse if it jams the possibility of it damaging the gun are greater but some swear by it. My buddy only shoots Wolf steel cased ammo through his AK47 and it never misses a beat.

shoot it with no worries man.
tenifered carbon steel is much harder than mild steel cases.
i buy cheap steel ammo whenever i come across it.

For the price, can't go wrong with Wolf or other steel case options. I would not think twice to use steel cased ammo in a SHTF situation, but I only use it for range duty. When I'm low on factory ammo and reloads, and need a quick trigger-fix, I'll buy some boxes of Wolf to tame my trigger finger. Only problem I see is that I can't reload the brass...

I would only use hollow points for carry, but for the range I figured they were okay.

No problems at all with Wolf Ammo (steel cased) in my G26 and I have shot more than 500 rounds.

    Howdy,

I have ran about 10,000rds of steel cased ammo through the LW 40-9mm barrel in my G23 with a hiccup.

Great for plinking at the range. I use them in my G26 and G23 also.

Does anyone know where I can find 10rd mags?

I can't find anything for my G26 anywhere! I don't want them sticking out from the G17's and I have 2x 33rd mags...

Did the dud fire on a second strike or did you not try that? The only two double strikes I've ever had to do was with Wolf and Brown Bear.

It's a glock. It should eat anything. But I won't shoot steel case ammo in anything but a AK or similar gun.

Mixed reviews on Wolf/steel ammo....caveat emptor....
Kepp in mind, too....SOME ranges FORBID the use of steel ammo on ANY kind (the 2 closest to me both STRICTLY ENFORCE this policy!!)
Prices I've seen from several venues on Wolf ammo have been pretty good...so if steel ammo is OK where you shoot...you shouldn't have any problems! Good luck!

It wasn't Wolf ammo, it was Monarch steel. I'm confused as hell, I bought the ammo at a local gun show and some of the casings say WWB, FC and Monarch. The guy said it wasn't reloads...so i'm guessing they use all new components and put them together in house? Is this safe to shoot in my Glock?

Obviously the rounds went through without a hitch...but i'd hate to mess something up

I have shot a ton of Monarch Steel Cases 9MM through all 3 of my glocks with no problems.

The Glock eats anything... just don't carry it, use it for target ammo.

I've got 2 boxes of Brown Bear and I just realized my Range won't let me shoot steel :crying:

I guess they will be sitting on the shelf until I find some place to shoot them.

I like AL Blazer better. $189/1000 is a pretty good price and it's made in the good ol' U.S. of A.
