Back in HS I used to watch Elvira's Movie Macabre on Saturday night. It came on at midnight, just enough time for me to get home before my curfew, take a bath and put on my pajamas. I loved those old monster movies she used to show and break in with comments that were a hoot. I remember this one, a true classic LOL.

Man I did like the Creature films, poor guy, and he couldn't be out of the "Black Lagoon" anymore cause that would be racist.
Just say "San Francisco Bay", or "Detroit River", there you go.

A little off topic , but the one I remember was where Bob asked, " What musical group best describes your wedding night ? "

He lost it when the girl said,

" Blood, Sweat and Tears "

When I was a kid I built a (1:8 I think) plastic model of the creature because I thought it was so cool. Also built a bunch of those Big Daddy Roth Rat Fink type models. Sometimes I think I was a weird kid.

That's the one. For whatever reason, nobody will say it's a sequel to Creature from the Black Lagoon, but it is. I watched half of it before I realized that. I can't remember exactly, now (and I'm also mixing in a short story I read from the creature's point of view) but it's something like the creature was only wounded at the end and they recover him and bring him to a lab in the U.S. to study.

Won an academy award for best picture.

I built all the monster models. My daughter liked the Creature. I found a second Creature Model which we put together. Her paint job is far superior to mine.

I watched a video of The Creature with added commentary. There is a scene where the heroine is swimming and the Creature is swimming below her facing up. This was supposed to signify sex. Sex is never far from Hollywood's mind. The more perverted the better.
