Bought this ammo - Underwood - via Gunbroker!! The company is out of West Virginia and only sells by way of Gunbroker. (which I think is a great idea!!) Put 100 rounds through my P229 today and it was flawless - no failures to feed, fire or eject. It is a 124gr hollow point round. Seemed to be pretty accurate too. Here is a 25 yard target:

I will continue to report on this as I shoot more - the good, the bad, and the ugly!! - so far...all good:winkie:

Resurrecting this thread. Ha anyone heard of Underwood lately? It seems as if he has vanished from Gunbroker. Searching old auctions doesn't even bring it up. It is as if it has been purged of all mention.

I bought a lot of ammo from him for awhile and had good results with it.

I have noticed the same! I have bought 357 Sig from them and 38 Spcl. - All good stuff. I did receive an e-mail from him at the end of July. If you are interested in the e-mail address, PM me...

Nothing to worry about. It's all good. I exchanged emails with him and he said he was about to put up a bunch of auctions. Go for it.
Thanks, will do.....

Seems he uses Rainer "Rapidly Expanding" Hollow point bullets. Does anyone have any experience with Rainer bullets? Do they rapidly expand? Thanks.

I just placed an order for .44 Special 240gr FMJ and 240gr JHP. There doesn't seem to be much recent (the key word) information regarding the Rainer HP bullets, so I'll just have to give them a try.....

Working for me:
https://www.underwoodammo.com/shop/index.cfm

I didn't know they had a website until your post!! I hope they don't get overwhelmed with orders. I've seen other groups sell nice ammo at fair prices, gain a good reputation over all the internet forums.... and then get flooded with orders to the point they are overwhelmed. Then the reputation slips due to orders being filled slowly. That's why I thought selling on Gunbroker was a good idea - you just sell what you have on hand. Hopefully they have thought it all out. I have really liked their product!!

In that case let's keep it on the lowdown on this worldwide forum.:faint:

Placed an order today. Maybe I'll do a video of it vs BRVA of the same 180grn JHP. One test out as 30% more powerful or more.

Georgia-arms has nice 180 FMJ 10mm loads but no +p or special loads due to availability issues (or so they claim online) BRVA is priced well but is short on powder (from the video's I've seen). Pretty stoked to have this on the way. Now I just need to shoot the heck out of stuff to burn through my other rounds.
