Picked up a used Springfield Armory 1911 USGI Parkerized on Sunday afternoon, as 99% condition, no idiot mark, 2 mags (full of shiny Hydrashocks), 2 sets of grips (garish wood + black plastic), a grip clip hook plate, plastic case, w/all crap (holster, mag pouch, etc...) and 2 boxes of Aguila 230 ball.
I paid $425, decent price? Good enough? Screwed?

I paid $400 for mine and it did not come with any rounds at all. You got a good deal.

Yeah, well, far enough back (like 20+ years ago) I think I paid like $359 for a stainless Springfield GI, which slowly got built up, bushing and barrel, BoMars, stippling, link, until it was a half way competitive Hardball gun, one that earned me 20 of 26 Leg (EIC) points. <sigh> Probably never pick up those last 4 though... Oh well, damned if it wasn't fun though, imagine a First (and later a Chief) getting paid to go compete 3 or 4 weeks a year, sometimes even with cost orders!!! Damn, some days I miss my Navy...

...Whoops... reminiscing! ...my bad Anyhow, I think I did at least okay on this deal, more or less!
