Well, I got a call from the IT guy today, they are not local to my office. He tells me he needs to remote link to my computer to update our report server program. Me being the ever cooperative employee, I tell him sure, and invite him on to my computer. I didn't realize until too late I had GT up in another tab. When his session was over, I am blocked from GT!!! Now what am I supposed to do all day, work?
That part is a joke, I really work very hard and leading the Gulf Coast in sales.(pat pat)
Anyway, I am sure you guys know where I am going. I looked for the threads that had the alternative web address, but can't find it. Any help?

Do you really want to risk your job and circumvent the work filter?

Maybe the IT guy is not so sneaky? I don't know why he would have to get on your PC to block a sight, I certainly would not. But for your further education, I would bet 10 to 1 that IT does not make your company Internet policy, it is just following policy set by HR and your executive management.

I'd recommend getting a smartphone and a dataplan. Or really any phone with browsing capabilities.

This is what I recommend also.
I'm the IT guy and all I have to do to block someone is just put it in on the firewall.

Management really won't say much as long as you're not on porn and stuff although I did block facebook because one woman kept looking at it and wouldn't bother to at least try and minimize it, im like she's gonna mess it up for everyone. My boss is a gun guy so I'm not worried about Glocktalk.

I will tether my iphone to my laptop when i want to surf and not leave any logs though
