Which do you prefer and why?

My G21sf has the smooth face trigger and the G30sf has the textured one. I'm leaning towards the smooths faced trigger. The trigger safety is enough grip for me.

I prefer the smooth triggers. Like you, I just think they feel better. It is my understanding that the "target triggers" were originally used to comply with import regulations otherwise they wouldn't exist. I have changed to the smooth ones on 2 of my compacts, one remains stock.

Smooth, all the way! I put the trigger from a 17 in my 26. Much nicer when I go bang out a few hundred in a day.

It doesn't really matter to me, 2 of my Glocks have the smooth trigger and the other 2 have the serrated trigger. I've heard a few people complain that the serrated trigger is too rough on their fingers, but I've never had that issue.

I am happy with either one. Seeing as how my first 2 Glocks had the target ones I did not get why people wanted the smooth one. But once I got my G21 I finally saw the light lol. The target ones have an edge to them and it seems to press on a few smaller spots on the finger rather then spreading out the surface.

I do not notice a difference in grip on the triggers. If anything the smooth one provides more grip due to more surface area and my finger tip does what its designed to do, Grip.

But I don't care so much as to change it tho, And Would have never known why people do not like the target ones until I experienced the smooth one.

IMO the smooth trigger is more comfortable to shoot with the "snappier" calibers. My buddies 32 with the tex. trigger has a little bit of bite upon recoil. All mine (10mm,.357,.40,.45) all have the smooth trigger and you dont notice this.

I installed the smooth trigger from the G21 into my G30SF. I like the smooth trigger. Feels better to me. I like the face of the "Sider Lock" trigger on my buddy's G27 even better than that, but don't want the Sider Lock trigger.

I replaced trigger bars in the 26 & 30 because I wanted the same feel as the 17 & 21 I shoot in GSSF. I am going to leave the 27 trigger stock as it is my new carry gun.

I can clearly understand if you prefer the smooth trigger than change out the target trigger. For me it is a non-issue. My various Glocks have smooth or target depending on the model. I don't notice any difference when shooting. Bill

The smooth trigger was one of the best things I added to my G19.

    Smooth
I also remove the excess material from the trigger safety.
The material that protrudes beyond the face of the trigger while the safety is FULLY depressed.

My only Glock (so far) is the G36 and it has the ridges on the trigger. I plan to leave it as is because it is my primary CCW gun and I figure the better the grip I can have in a defensive situation the better. I would agree that a smooth trigger would be more finger friendly on a range gun where I were shooting 100's of rounds at a time, but I have put 200 rounds thru my 36 in a day without a problem. Some of my other guns have smooth triggers and others are textured, but for my G36 being a carry gun I like the textured.

That's what I did with all my baby Glocks. I hate grooved triggers on Glocks.
