    At least he kept his distance. My brother in law whacked his pool with a golf club and almost drowned.

    Those pools don't last much more than a couple of seasons. It could have been on the way out.

    Good thing he did not use a 10mm. It would have caused cold fusion and blown up the world.

    More than enough water to stop the bullet.

    In fact myth busters did a whole segment on shooting various calibers into water and how far they would travel.

    The one that went the furthest by far was a .22.

    I saw that mythbusters episode. The bullets from .223 and 7.62 broke into a bunch of pieces and did not penetrate far into water. Hand gun calibers went further into the water. I bet that 500 sw bullet broke into pieces as well.
