Since switching over to a new computer and a new ISP (Roadrunner) I've noticed that the 'moving' smilies no longer work.

That dancing banana just stands there.

Is it my computer? My ISP? Or just the recent changes to GT?

Well, your going to have to have someone check your computer. Tell them not to stop until your banana dances. Really, it has to be on your end John. It's working on this end buddy.;)

Tools -> Internet options -> Advanced

    go down to multimedia

see if "play animations in web pages" is checked.

I did, and it was checked. I unchecked it, checked it again, applied, then OK'd...then restarted.

    Still no luck. Dang. :(

Pontificator, all the bananas are Inop. on my screen as well. It seems to me they were working at some point though. I wonder if they stoped working with the addition of my new firewall???
    Confused in Texas...

Ponti, on a slow connection, a computer will "time out" after 60 seconds (even if the site isn't finished loading within that time) and will stop loading more data. Is it possible that your browser is giving up on loading them after sixty seconds?

I would also recommend you download and try Netscape 7.1, I have switched over to it from Internet Explorer and I ain't never going back.

    Another good browser: --> http://www.opera.com/

Re-install Internet Explorer 6 and then try it...

Chances are the files of your IE have been corrupted.

I had to do it a few weeks ago...

My PC at work will not show animation including the smileys on GT. The work PC is locked to prevent installation unauthorized software.

My PC at home has no problem showing the animation on GT. It could be a problem with not having the needed software installed on your new machine (Java maybe).

I use Firefox as my browser but animation still worked when I was using IE6.

What firewall do you have? I had the same problem as you, and it turned out to be my firewall. What browser are you using?
